I’m AJ. I have to be into work early tomorrow so I decided to not go out on this stormy Friday night so that I can get eight hours of sleep. And stormy it is, indeed. A small 5-10 mile wide cell on the order of 50dBZ is passing right over campus, making all sorts of irate sounds. This is the kind of storm that makes people run to get to where they have to go.

Somehow amidst my daily Facebook crawling, email checking, and bank account viewing I decided to see how web logging is done. And apparently it’s pretty easy, as I was able to get this going in the same amount of time it would take me to make a honey roasted turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese on toasted whole wheat bread (including the added time to toast the bread). Due to the momentum I had from erecting my new profile, I decided to go ahead and create my first post, a decision which I’m sure is not uncommon amongst new bloggers.
In the upcoming posts I’ll try to compile my favorite articles, videos, and of course a regular personal commentary. I’d have to assume that the topics for these posts are going to be all over the place, as I really do become fascinated by everything from shoe inserts all the way to space travel- those two are as opposite as it gets, me thinks.
So this will be my blog. It’ll me something of an “online cortex” for myself, except one that anyone can see and read. I hope its good, in which case I’ll maintain it till I’m really, really old!
